Gentleman's Farm
Set in a grove of trees and overlooking a lush green polo field, this new equestrian building brings out the best of this gentleman’s farm. The 12-stall stable was designed to match the sprawling Mediterranean style villa on this estate property, of which Melichar Architects designed a decade earlier. From individual Dutch-doors on each horse stall, to the scrolled wood rafter tails, to the copper topped cupolas, the exterior details are nothing short of a well-conceived and sophisticated abode for horses. The interior is adorned with wood and metal accents, a herringbone rubber brick floor, reminiscent of an historic Spanish stable. The fully functioning stable has all the equipment and functionality for the pure equestrian enthusiast who desires for their beloved horses to reside nearby on their property.
