Located in the century-old beach community of Grand Beach, Michigan, our clients had deep family roots there and wanted to build a new home that fit the neighborhood. They also required additional living space for their growing family of adult children along with spouses and an expanding brood of grandchildren. Through thoughtful consideration of every room, we designed a customized plan to accommodate their specific needs, while maintaining the home’s cottage feel and intimate streetscape. The plan was sited in such a way that only two trees were removed during construction, while lake and ravine views were maximized. Appointed with historic charm, this newly conceived cottage is truly a  welcome treasure, both inside and out.
